William McGonagall
William McGonagall (1825–1902) was a Scottish poet widely ridiculed for his clumsy verse. His poems are characterized by awkward meter, banal imagery, and unintentional humor. Despite—or because of—his lack of talent, he has achieved lasting infamy as one of the worst poets in the English language.
