Currently the Lorna Puttkammer Straus Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolution and Data Sciences Institute at the University of Chicago, with additional faculty appointments in Sociology. Leading researcher applying complex systems theory and network analysis to understand cities as self-organizing biological-like entities.
