Jim Otvos

Jim Otvos, Ph.D., is a biophysical chemist who pioneered the use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to measure lipoprotein particles. He developed the first FDA-cleared method for directly quantifying LDL particle number (LDL-P), which has expanded to provide insights into metabolic health, inflammation, and mortality risk.
