Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria
Only son of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary. Born in 1858, Rudolf was a controversial and troubled figure within the Habsburg dynasty. He was known for his liberal views and political discord with his father, and remains historically significant primarily through the Mayerling Incident of 1889.
